Report: Entercom To Extend Deal With Red Sox

The Boston Herald is reporting that the Red Sox are set to announce a new long-term deal to extend their broadcast rights agreement with WEEI. The new deal is expected to be for at least five years. The Herald reports that the current 10-year deal expires at the end of this season and had Entercom making escalating payments to the Red Sox over the years, culminating with $17 million this season.
