iHeartMedia Flips To Soft AC In San Francisco

As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rythmic Oldies was out and Soft AC was in for iHeart's 98.1-FM in San Francisco. The station is called The Breeze and iHeart promises relaxing favorites. The new format was kicked off with 10,000 songs in a row and the playlist includes Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Whitney Houston, Michael Bolton, Vanessa Williams, and others.

Emmis New York To Integrate ABC Programming

Emmis and ABC Radio will be working closer together. ABC Radio programming will now be available on Emmis NY’s WQHT-FM (Hip Hop), WBLS-FM (Urban Adult Contemporary/R&B), and WLIB-AM (Praise and Inspiration). The stations will begin to integrate ABC content that includes celebrity interviews, features, and programs. Some content will be on the radio stations, some on the station websites.

Andrew Turner was caught operating a Pirate Radio Station at 95.9 in Broward County and for that he was slapped with a $15,000 fine from the Commission. Complaints to the enforcement bureau were filed in January, March, August and September of 2015 and Turner was issued warnings by the Commission in March and August about the station.

Moonves To Appear On Sileo Show

On Wednesday morning, CBS Chairman Les Moonves will be a guest on The Dan Sileo Morning Show on San Diego Sports station, The Mighty 1090. Moonves will discuss how big sports broadcasting has become. Sileo says he also plans to ask Moonves about the recent talk about CBS selling radio. He'll ask Moonves, "Why get away from radio since CBS was born on radio?"
