A big win for iHeartMedia in court Tuesday as Texas State District Judge Cathleen Stryker ruled Broader Media, a subsidiary iHeartMedia created and transferred Clear Channel outdoor shares into, is allowed. The transfer of shares gives radio's biggest company more flexibility to deal with its $20 Billion in debt.
It’s A $25,000 Fine For Mt. Rushmore
The FCC's Enforcement Bureau has entered into a Consent Decree to resolve its investigation into whether Mt. Rushmore Broadcasting violated a long list of the Commission’s rules, including failing to maintain a full-time management and staff presence at the main studio of two of its stations during regular business hours, and making those stations available for inspection by an FCC agent.

Nero Verdict Lands WBAL Host On O’Reilly

Cumulus Flipping To Talk In Birmingham
We don't expect an official announcement until Tuesday morning, however, after some stunting with rock music, the former Nash Icon station in Birmingham is expected to flip to Talk. In fact, the "Talk 99.5" website is already up and lists talk shows with Dale Jackson, Matt Murphy, Richard Dixon, and others. Nash Icon launched on WZZR-FM in August of 2014. At least for now it's being called "99.5 The South."
iHeart Allentown Flips Fox Sports To ESPN Deportes
iHeartMedia's 1470 ESPN Deportes will launch Thursday in Allentown. Programming will include play-by-play coverage of the Phillies and Eagles games, and sports talk shows, including Jorge Ramos y su Banda, which provides soccer analysis, Raza Deportiva, and Firma ESPN, the network’s morning show.
Hall Announces 2016 Nominees
Voting for the 2016 National Radio Hall of Fame Inductees is now underway. The 24 nominations in six categories were determined by the organization’s nominating committee. Classic 1986 Mets Game To Be Aired On WOR
The New York Mets’ radio flagship, 710 WOR-AM/New York, announced Monday that it will re-air the entire radio broadcast of Game 6 of the 1986 World Series between the New York Mets and the Boston Red Sox, as a prelude to a Memorial Day weekend-long tribute at Citi Field to the 1986 Championship team.
