iHeartMedia’s New U. of Delaware Deal
The three-way agreement is between iHeartMedia Delaware, University of Delaware Athletics, and Blue Hens IMG Sports Marketing. The result is a multi-year extension of their current radio affiliation agreement with 94.7 WDSD-FM.

Hubbard Talent Institute Begins In Washington
The inaugural Hubbard Radio Talent Institute debuted Monday on the campus of Central Washington University in Washington State. Hubbard CEO Ginny Morris opened the 10-day teaching event, followed by Alpha Media Chairman Larry Wilson (pictured here). Twenty-one students will learn about radio from attending nearly 40 sessions on every aspect of radio.

Bubba And Nielsen Will Try Mediation
You would think settling this fight in mediation would be a long shot, but both sides are set to give it a try next month. Both Nielsen and Todd Clem have already agreed, in court filings, that a settlement is unlikely. Nielsen accuses Clem of ratings tampering by contacting PPM panelists, and is asking Clem for $1 million in damages. The mediation session will take place July 5 at 1:30 in Tampa with attorney Dennis Alvarez sitting in as the mediator.
Salem Inks Atsinger Through 2019
The new employment agreement, filed with the SEC, for the Salem CEO includes a base salary of $980,000 from July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017; $985,000 from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018; and $995,000 from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. Atsinger will also be eligible for bonus money which will be decided by the Salem Board of Directors and the company will pay 100% of his health insurance and provide him with a vehicle.

Burger King jumped from 15th place to 3rd last week on the Media Monitors weekly radio spot chart. The Home of the Whopper aired over 29,200 commercials to jump past 4th placed McDonald's, which aired 25,000 commercials on radio stations all across America.
