New Public Repertory Database Site For ASCAP
ASCAP has launched a redesigned version of ACE, its public repertory database. ACE ("ASCAP Clearance Express") is a searchable database that contains information relating to musical works in the ASCAP repertory of 10 million works, and is updated weekly.
Entercom South Carolina Expands Blood Drive

FCC At Odds Over Media Ownership Rules

Wheeler Happy With Pirate Enforcement
FCC Chairman Thomas Wheeler told the House Subcommittee on Communications and Technology Tuesday that 91 actions have been taken so far this year against pirate radio stations. That, Wheeler says, compares to 130 actions taken all of last year. What he didn't say was how that 91 compares to how many pirate radio stations the Commission believes are in operation across the United States.

Radio One announced on Tuesday it is ready to cover the upcoming political conventions from "the Black perspective." Radio One Corporate Communications VP Yashima AziLove said, “There couldn’t be a more critical time in our country for Black media to engage in the political process."
