Broadcasters Join Forces To Help Flood Victims

The St. Louis Broadcasters for Louisiana Flood Victims have begun a united effort to encourage donations for the Red Cross response in Louisiana. Emmis, Hubbard, CBS, iHeartMedia, and Radio One are all participating in the effort. In all, there are 18 stations helping. Emmis St. Louis GM John Beck (pictured) initiated this fundraiser.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America is providing emergency grants to broadcasters whose lives and property have been severely damaged by the floods in Louisiana and the wildfires in California. The Emergency and Disaster Grant Program features a short vetting process to get the money to victims within a week.

The Bobby Bones Show, is donating $85,000 to the American Red Cross flood relief effort in Louisiana. The Country morning radio show announced all proceeds from #PimpinJoy merchandise on www.BobbyBones.com, would be donated to The Red Cross.
