CBS Chicago Sports Talker Terry Boers is on Radio Ink's upcoming Best Sports Talkers in America list. He has been for years with co-host Dan Bernstein. In a column on the CBS Chicago website, Boers announced he'd be retiring after 25 years with the radio station. "Sometimes you have to be told it’s time to go, others times, such as in my case, you just know the time is right."

This will be the third station for Jim Lamke's Lamke Broadcasting in Minnesota. He also owns two stations in Grand Rapids. He's now picking up KBAJ-FM in Deer River from Red Rock Radio. KALIL & Company was the exclusive broker on the deal.

Classic Rocker 99.7 The Fox (Charlotte) and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, which serves 19 counties in North and South Carolina, together raised approximately $13,000 and 5,200 pounds of non-perishable food during the 15th annual Harvest Feast Marathon to help fight hunger in the Charlotte region.

The show, called In The Post, will feature NBA Hall of Famer Elvin Hayes. Each week Hayes and co-host Joe George will provide interviews and analysis from all the biggest newsmakers in college and pro basketball. The show debuts at midnight ET on Saturday, December 3 and replays on Sunday mornings at 5 a.m. ET.

Brian Wieser, Senior Media Analyst From Pivotal Research Group, is downgrading his projections for 2017. He says there will be tough 2016 comps as the year turned out to be much better than expected. Wiser told investors, “We are revising our 2017 forecast to a +2.0% growth rate for the year ahead." His original forecast was an increase of 2.8%. Wieser says 2016 grew 5%, the ad industry’s best year since 2005.

As the company continues to search for ways to deal with about $20 Billion in debt, an 8K has been filed to amend terms of certain notes with potential exchange offers.

The retailer took the Media Monitors top spot last week by airing over 39,500 commercials on radio stations across the country. That was enough to nudge The Home Depot down to number two.

CBS Radio's SportsRadio 94WIP in Philadelphia has extended its partnership for play-by-play coverage of the Philadelphia Phillies. Details of the new deal were not released. CBS Radio in Philadelphia has had the Phillies since 2004 with WIP-FM broadcasting the games the past five seasons. Scott Franzke, Larry Andersen, and Jim Jackson will continue to announce the games.
