That question was not addressed in Field’s internal memo Monday. For example, in Boston, there are two strong managers running two excellent clusters. Phil Zachary is running Boston for Entercom, while Mark Hannon runs the market for CBS. In San Francisco Steve DiNardo is the Market Manager for Entercom while Doug Harvill is the Market Manager for CBS Radio.
Entercom is working on divesting stations in the markets it overlaps with CBS and goes over the government ownership limits. When the deal was announced these were the markets Entercom said it would be over: Boston (9 FMs and 4 AMs), Los Angeles (6 FMs and 1 AM), Sacramento (9 FMs and 2 AMs), San Diego (6 FMs), San Francisco (9 FMs, 1 AM), Seattle (7 FMs and 1 AM).
