Employees Allege Labor Violations at SBS
At a SAG-AFTRA press conference Tuesday several current and former employees at La Raza 97.9 and MEGA 96.3 in L.A. spoke out about unfair treatment at the Spanish-language broadcast company. SAG-AFTRA said SBS has committed a myraid of labor law violations. They say the former employees were unlawfully terminated by SBS and the current employees are underpaid.
Entravision Raises $3.2 Million For CMN
And that's a record. The $3.2 million was raised for the Children's Miracle Network during their 10th annual network-wide Radiothon, under the theme of "Un Million Para Los Niños" (One Million for the Children). This year, over 95 communities nationwide will benefit from the Radiothon.

2017 iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina Lineup Announced
The fourth annual festival will take place at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami on Saturday, November 4 and will include performances by Nacho, Gente De Zona, Don Omar, CNCO, Reik, Jesse y Joy, and Camila Cabello, with more artists to follow. For the second year, the concert will be hosted by Enrique Santos.
Benztown Announces “Behind The Song” Series
It’s a Classic Hits format featuring 30-second audio documentaries that give radio listeners a comprehensive look at the stories behind the biggest Classic Hits songs of all time. The new audio series for Classic Hits radio stations is an addition to Benztown’s “Behind the Song” audio documentaries for the Classic Rock and Classic Country formats, which debuted last year.
Radio Is The Ultimate Connector
Those are the words of CBS Radio Houston Market Manager Sarah Frazier (pictured here) who has her team working frantically to keep the community informed. As of 4 p.m. Sunday, CBS's stations went to an all-news simulcast on KHMX, KILT-FM, KILT-AM, and KKHH. Frazier tells Radio Ink that Monday morning it was clear there was a need to offer local residents a constant stream of evacuation and shelter information.

Scripps Radio Comes Through For Texas
On Monday, WTMJ Radio and 94.5 KTI COUNTRY raised over $69,000 during a fundraiser for disaster relief for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The money will be given to the American Red Cross.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America announced Monday morning it is encouraging broadcasters who have been hit by Hurricane Harvey to find out if they qualify for emergency aid by completing the emergency grant request form on their website.
