Cam Maxwell is the Regional GM for Connoisseur Media in Billings, MT. He's far from mediocre. Maxwell has been voted one of Radio's Best Managers for 2017 and will be profiled in the October 9 issue of Radio Ink Magazine. The 29-year veteran (22 as a manager) has a lot of fans that work for him. Here's what one of his employees told Radio Ink.

According to Forbes magazine Howard Stern leads the pack making $90 million between June 1, 2016, and June 1, 2017. Forbes says the SiriusXM host now has a net worth of $450 million. Conservative talkers dominated the balance of the Forbes list with Rush Limbaugh coming in second earning $84 million.

iHeartMedia will once again celebrate the holiday season across the nation with its annual "iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour 2017. The full artist lineup will be announced on October 10, but it has been confirmed that Liam Payne and Camila Cabello will perform at select stops throughout the tour.  

Cumulus Media Washington, DC stations WRQX-FM and WMAL-AM and FM, and Inova Blood Donor Services are hosting a Vegas Victims’ Blood Drive Wednesday, October 11 in McLean, VA. WMAL PD Bill Hess said, “The injured – including some from our area – face a lengthy recovery, and this is one thing we can come together and do to help in our own individual way."

Entercom San Francisco radio stations Q102.1, 96.5 KOIT, 98.5 KFOX, and 95.7 The GAME are partnering with the Latino Community Foundation to raise funds for those impacted by the recent earthquakes in Mexico City and surrounding areas. The three-week campaign will officially launch October 6.

The Nevada Broadcasters association is calling today "Broadcasters Unite Nevada Day." In the aftermath of the shooting in Las Vegas, the Nevada broadcasters are asking everyone in the state to show unity by wearing the state's colors: Silver and Blue.

Both the National Retail Federation and PwC predict happy holidays for the economy due to confidence from the American consumer. And this is certainly good news for radio as advertisers tend to spend more money when confidence is up and the economy is humming.
