Murrow Awards, which recognize work of the highest quality produced by radio, television and online news organizations around the world, at its annual Awards Gala in New York City. Joyner Working Hard For Hurricane Victims
Tom Joyner has been doing his bit for the folks hit by the recent hurricanes. The nationally syndicated radio host just distributed $50,000 to 50 Houston-area families affected by Hurricane Harvey. To date, Joyner has raised $500,000 for the BlackAmericaWeb.com Relief Fund.
WDVE 102.5 Rocks For Children’s Radiothon
The “Home of the Pittsburgh Steelers” raised over $814,000 during the 10th annual DVE Rocks for Children’s Radiothon to benefit Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. Over the past 10 years, the radiothon has raised nearly $5 million to benefit the hospital.
WSOY Collects 1.5 Million Pounds of Food!
The Decatur, IL, station held its annual WSOY Community Food Drive on October 6 and made the massive haul. The proceeds from the food drive benefit local food pantries in the Decatur area, including the Salvation Army and Catholic Charities, among others.

On October 3 Cumulus received a notifice from Nasdaq relating to the minimum bid price requirement. Because Cumulus' stock has closed below $1.00 per share for 30 consecutive days, the company received notice that it was not in compliance and had 180 days to regain compliance.
