CBS Radio has lined up four gigs for a special New Year’s Eve weekend at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Beginning Friday, December 29 and lasting into the early morning hours of 2018, the shows will play over three nights and feature Foo Fighters, Duran Duran, and Zac Brown Band with a special performance by Sir Rosevelt.

Beasley's pro forma revenues in the third quarter were flat compared to the same period in 2016. Beasley faced tough political comps from 2016 when they took in over $600,000. Backing out for political, revenue was up 1%. A bright spot for the company was Detroit, where revenue jumped over 29% in the quarter. Here are all the details.

A man burst into an Orlando church last Thursday, destroying equipment to the tune of $100K, according to wftv.com. The incident happened while WAMT (1190 AM) "L'Voix Evangelique D'Orlando" (The Gospel Voice of Orlando) was broadcasting from a Pine Hills church. The man, Sergo Hippolite, was finally subdued and taken into custody.

Those of you hoping to own more radio stations so you could compete on a more level playing field with digital will have to wait a little longer. On Thursday, the FCC announced specifics on Chairman Pai's plan to change the commission's Media Ownership Rules and the radio caps will stay the same.

Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel is not in favor of Chairman Pai's plan to eliminate some of the media ownership rules now on the books. She posted her thoughts on Twitter last night and she said "not good" and went into specific detail in a speech earlier this month which she linked to in her Twitter post.

On Thursday, the Florida Supreme Court, agreed with the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and ruled that Florida common law does not recognize an exclusive right of public performance in pre-1972 sound recordings.
