New events are replacing the Radio, Television and Technology Luncheons at the NAB's big event in Las Vegas this April. Two new events are being added and several are going away.

Entercom has announced a special, commercial-free programming feature, Count on Country, that will be broadcast Tuesday, November 28. The one-hour show will feature content from country music artists and it'll be hosted by Big & Rich. Within the commercial-free programming, artists will encourage donations to the Las Vegas Victims' Fund.

Charlotte’s New 103.7, Kiss 95.1, Power 98, V 101.9, 94.7 SMOKE, and K 104.7 have partnered with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and FOX 46 Charlotte for the CMPD Explorers Christmas Project to collect new, unwrapped toys for local children.

On November 16, B98.5 listeners donated an incredible 4,800 pounds of food to supply Thanksgiving meals for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. This included an amazing 2,792 pounds of turkey, 1,522 pounds of canned goods, and 486 pounds of produce.

105.1 The Bounce’s Bikes for Kids Holiday Collection will kick off with four live broadcasts from selected metro Detroit locations beginning on November 20. The collections will be held on December 1, 8, and 15. The final collection and distribution day will take place on December 16.

The deal is done: The merger of Entercom and CBS Radio has closed. The merger was announced in February, and the companies got DOJ approval after agreeing to divest stations in Boston, San Francisco, and Sacramento. The FCC gave its go-ahead on November 10. On Friday, Entercom also announced a new deal with AnalyticOwl, a company CBS Radio had been using for audience analytics. The tool will help the company track and quantify the impact of advertising campaigns.
