Congressmen Want Repack Money For Radio
The NAB says 678 radio stations might be affected by the television auction "repack," and Reps. Bill Flores (R-TX) and Gene Green (D-TX) are asking the House Appropriations Committee to include funds in the 2018 appropriations bill to reimburse radio stations for any "unintended and unavoidable" expenses incurred due to the “repack.”

KLLL Radiothon Tops $90K For Miracle Network
KLLL-FM/Lubbock raised $97,796 during their 20th Annual Children’s Miracle Network 36 Hours of Miracles Radiothon. The radiothon took place February 21-22. The KLLL on-air team broadcast live from the studios and the University Medical Center Children’s Hospital playroom.

Report: Deal With Liberty Unlikely
The New York Post is reporting that the offer made by John Malone’s Liberty Media is likely to fail "because it undervalues iHeart's 850 radio stations." The Post is quoting a source that says Liberty’s offer values iHeart at $7.5 billion and senior creditors of the company, led by Franklin Resources, believe iHeart is worth 12 percent more, or roughly $8.5 billion.

With over 45,700 commercials aired on radio stations across America last week, GEICO remained the industry's top advertiser. Indeed.com moved up two spots to take the second position (29,905). Macy's was third on the Media Monitors list (29,268), followed by The Home Depot (26,588), and eBay, which came in at number five, after not even making the top 100 last week.
