That's according to new data released by Kagan. M&A volume reached $4.31 billion in the fourth quarter of 2018, most of it coming on the TV side. Radio deals accounted for $198.7 million, TV $4.11 billion in Q4.

Drive Time Metrics has been issued a patent which relates to the collection, measurement and analysis of in-vehicle media usage data. Company Director and Product Manager Rob Favre said, "The radio industry will now have measurement at scale allowing more accuracy and deeper insights."

The New England Patriots have announced a multi-year broadcast extension with Beasley’s WBZ-FM/98.5 The Sports Hub. Since its inception in 2009, the station has been the official radio flagship station of the Patriots.
WBAL Shuffles Lineup
Hearst-owned WBAL NewsRadio in Baltimore has moved weekend talker Yuripzy Morgan to its weekday lineup from 1 to 3 p.m. The Brett Hollander Show moves to 3 to 6 p.m. The station used to be all be all-news in afternoon drive.
NAB’s Crystal Awards Open For Entries
The National Association of Broadcasters is accepting entries for the NAB Crystal Radio Awards, honoring outstanding community service. Submissions must be received by January 31.
iHeart Reports November Revenue
The company filed its monthly operating report with the bankruptcy court this week reporting $343.7 million in revenue for the month of November. That's slightly down from October ($349,402) and up from September ($329,466).
