Heritage Classic Rock station 96.5 WCMF (WCMF-FM) — currently celebrating 50 years on the air — has been inducted into the Rochester Music Hall of Fame. At the same ceremony, the station’s midday host, Dave Kane, was honored with a Special Merit Award.

On Friday a study was released by The University of Ottawa's Jada E. Watson in consultation with WOMAN Nashville called "Gender Representation on Country Radio: A Study of Published Reports from 2000-2018." It revealed a huge disparity between the airplay male and female country artists receive at country radio. It's a story that has plagued country radio for a very long time.

Politico does a lengthy piece on FCC Chairman Ajit Pai's attempt to save AM Radio by highlighting, in depth, several AM Radio stations across the country and the impact they are making on their local communities.

The Hollywood Reporter does a nice piece on Salem Media, pointing out the influence the conservative leaning company has with listeners. The story, which compares the Salem to Fox News, includes quotes from President David Santrella and VP Phil Boyce. Check it out HERE.
