Three years after launch, Rick O'Dell says he's shutting down the online radio station. According to the Chicagoland Radio and Media Blog, the recently announced higher royalties were the main factor, but O'Dell's full-time job as PD for WRME-LP//87.7 MeTV FM was also getting in his way of keeping the station alive.

Atlas Music Publishing was founded by Richard Stumpf in 2013 and currently represents songs performed by artists including Madonna, John Legend, Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Luke Bryan and many others.

After seeking bankruptcy protection, Rdio discontinued it's service on December 22, 2015. Pandora needed court approval to purchase the company for $75 million.
