Christian radio is well represented in the NRB’s 2027 honors, from a station of the year to two stations marking 100-year milestones. The association announced its Special Service and Media Award recipients, to be honored at a February gala near the nation’s capital.
NRB named Salem Media NYC’s The Mission (WMCA-AM) its 2027 Radio Station of the Year and chose On the Ground with Samaritan’s Purse, from Samaritan’s Purse, as Radio Program of the Year. Pathway to Victory received the Radio Impact award. Moody Radio Chicago (WMBI) and Lapeer, MI’s WMPC Radio will each receive a 100-year Milestone Award. KCBI Radio and Bruce Munsterman of Houston Christian Broadcasters, Inc., KHCB Media Group, are recognized with 50-year Milestone Awards.
Collin Lambert, founder and president of Lambert Creative Media and a former Moody Radio vice president, is honored posthumously with the William Ward Ayer Award for Distinguished Service. Dr. Crawford Loritts of Beyond Our Generation will share the award.
The recipients will be recognized at the NRB awards gala on Tuesday, February 23, 2027, during the NRB 2027 International Christian Media Convention.
NRB President and CEO Troy A. Miller said, “Each year, our awards showcase the faithful stewardship of our members and the broader community of Christian communicators who use their platforms to advance the Gospel. We are privileged and thrilled to present these awards at the NRB 2027 Convention, where we will celebrate these achievements and milestones across the Christian media landscape. I am grateful to the NRB committee members for their diligent work in selecting this year’s honorees.”
