A second batch of Buzz Knight conversations is headed to Cleveland. A new selection of Takin’ A Walk and Music Saved Me episodes was accepted into the permanent collection at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Library and Archives, adding to a first donation in 2024.
The Takin’ A Walk donation, hosted by Knight, includes episodes featuring Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, actor and musician David Duchovny, Danish singer-songwriter Lukas Graham, music video director Nigel Dick, and Boston radio personality Chuck Nowlin. The band AdLeen Rose, featuring Tina Rose, daughter of Leon Russell, and Amy Nelson, daughter of Willie Nelson, is also included.
Music Saved Me, hosted by Lynn Hoffman, contributed episodes with singer-songwriter Ben Kweller and musician and Reimagine founder Brad Wolfe.
BKMP says the archive preserves audio interviews and transcripts documenting the personal and professional journeys of artists across rock, pop, country, and indie music, available to researchers, historians, and fans.
Knight said, “Every one of these conversations captures an artist reflecting on the moments that shaped them — the risks, the breakthroughs, the songs that mattered. To have them preserved permanently at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, alongside the history of the music itself, is something I don’t take for granted. This one means as much to me as the first donation did.”
