A name long known in national radio is being retired. Gemini XIII has folded United Stations Radio Networks and two podcast networks into Gemini Networks, a company that puts radio, podcasts, streaming, and YouTube under one management team.
USRN programming and services are now part of the Gemini Networks offering, along with Gemini XIII Podcast Network and YEA Podcast Network.
United Stations Radio Networks was founded in 1994 by Nick Verbitsky and Dick Clark. In July 2023, Verbitsky sold the company to Gemini XIII and its CEO, Spencer Brown, in a deal whose terms were not disclosed.
Gemini XIII pledges that for existing United Stations customers and partners, the transition will have no changes to the day-to-day operations of existing programming or services, and current relationships, programming, and support will continue without interruption. Key-United will continue as a joint sales venture with Key Networks.
Gemini Networks President and COO Charles Steinhauer stated, “Gemini Networks will now have offerings and capabilities operating under one management team which will span across podcasting, streaming, broadcast radio, YouTube and social media. There’s a real opportunity for our programming, talent and advertising partners to leverage these assets together in a complementary fashion.”
