As terrestrial radio continues its battle on Capitol Hill to maintain reception in the dashboard. Stingray, the Canadian broadcaster now behind TuneIn, just planted a flag in Ford and Lincoln vehicles, with co-branded streaming radio apps joining select models.
The Ford Streaming Radio and Lincoln Streaming Radio apps are available on the 2025 and newer Ford Explorer and Ford Expedition, the Lincoln Aviator and Lincoln Navigator, and the 2024 and newer Lincoln Nautilus models in the US and Canada.
Besides participating AM/FM radio stations, the TuneIn catalog adds more than 100 ad-free curated music channels updated weekly, more than 100K local and international radio stations, and 4 million podcasts.
The apps arrive while radio’s fight to keep AM in the dashboard sits with the Senate. In September, the House passed the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act by voice vote, with 317 cosponsors behind it. The companion bill has been on the Senate Legislative Calendar since April 2025 with enough cosponsors for a filibuster-proof majority.
Stingray Music USA President Jim Riley said, “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with an iconic American brand to bring the Ford Streaming Radio and Lincoln Streaming Radio apps to life. We worked hand in hand with the Ford team over many months to create a tailor-made in-dash audio experience powered by Stingray. Whether it’s discovering new music, staying informed on breaking news and travel updates, or diving into captivating podcasts like Ford CEO Jim Farley’s Drive, these apps ensure that every journey is informative and entertaining—and increasingly tailored to the driver’s preferences.”
