Half of a morning show built in St. Louis is going long-distance. The Bret Mega Show is relocating two of its four hosts to a new city, with the rest staying local, and the team is hinting that this move is only the first of more changes coming for listeners.
The Bret Mega Show announced on Instagram that Bret Mega and Anna “AB” Bohlmann are moving to a new city and will do the program from there. Hannah Gibbs and Kevin Berghoff will remain in St. Louis to cover local news each morning, and the show will continue to air on Y98 (KYKY).
In June, Audacy agreed to sell its six-station St. Louis cluster, including Y98, to Hoffmann Media Group for $20 million. In August, Radio Ink reported that Star 94 (WSTR) in Atlanta was rumored to bring in Mega for mornings.
The post does not confirm which city or when the move takes place.
The Bret Mega Show stated, “A HUGE thank you to all of our listeners who have made this possible. Because of YOU, we’ve been given this incredible opportunity, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We can’t wait to share what’s next with you!”
