Bay Area afternoons have a returning host with a hometown advantage. Mia Amor moves into the daypart at Connoisseur Media’s 102.9 KBLX, filling out the station’s lineup after Big Reid moved from afternoons to mornings last month alongside cluster lineup adjustments.
Amor was on the air in San Francisco from 2014 to 2018. In 2016, Entercom elevated Amor to mornings alongside Joey V on Q102 (KRBQ). In 2018, she joined Rhythmic 102.5 KSFM in Sacramento as morning host.
102.9 KBLX Program Director Jim “Jazzy” Archer said, “Mia is the perfect choice for 102.9. She’s Bay Area through and through, and that connection is something you can’t teach. She knows the people, the culture, and the energy that make this community so special because she’s lived it her entire life.”
Archer stated, “Mia brings an incredible spirit, genuine warmth and a dynamic presence to everything she does. We’re thrilled to welcome her to the 102.9 family and bring her energy to afternoons.”
