Building on changes in July, Connoisseur Media is reshuffling its Bay Area lineup, and four members of the company’s San Francisco team are picking up bigger roles as a result. The moves touch programming, production, and on-air schedules across five stations.
Big Reid, who currently hosts nights on 99.7 NOW (KMVQ) and afternoons on 102.9 KBLX, will move to mornings on KBLX, joining Freska and replacing Rudy Ortiz. The switch begins immediately and opens up KBLX afternoons and 99.7 NOW nights, with replacement plans to be announced later.
Morris Knight, currently heard in afternoons on 96.5 KOIT, will add middays on 101.7 KKIQ, replacing Faith Alpher. Knight lives in Pleasanton, and the KKIQ role gives him a chance to build deeper ties with listeners and business partners across the Tri-Valley and East Bay.
Ileana Matzorkis, who oversees production for Connoisseur Media’s San Francisco stations and continues to host nights on KOIT, will add the title of Regional Production Director. In the expanded role, Matzorkis will work across the company’s Bay Area stations to strengthen collaboration and enhance audio production throughout the cluster.
Richie Brown, currently Program Coordinator for KOIT, KBLX, and KEZR, will add Music Director responsibilities for KOIT and Hot AC Mix 106.5 (KEZR). Brown’s experience across multiple music formats, along with his relationships throughout the music industry, will support the stations’ focus on programming and music discovery.
