NAB’s LeGeyt Brings DC’s Agenda To Forecast With CBA’s Sasso

Big Tech has the reach, the resources, and a relentless appetite for the audiences local stations have served for generations. At Forecast 2027, the NAB’s top executive will take on that threat in a candid conversation about what radio needs from Washington.

“The Future of Local TV and Radio” brings National Association of Broadcasters President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt into conversation with Colorado Broadcasters Association President and CEO Justin Sasso. The two will cover advocacy, innovation, audience engagement, and what’s next in DC for broadcasters.

Previously NAB’s COO, LeGeyt is the chief advocate for America’s free, local television and radio stations and their network partners.

Sasso has led the Colorado Broadcasters Association since 2011, representing more than 300 radio and television stations and advocating for broadcasters at the state and federal levels. He spent 25 years in radio, working for multiple broadcast groups along Colorado’s Front Range before owning and operating a Northern Colorado radio station.

Sasso said, “Local broadcasting is at an interesting crossroads. There are real challenges ahead, but also tremendous opportunities. I’m looking forward to a candid conversation with Curtis about where radio and television are headed, what broadcasters need from Washington, and what we need to do ourselves to remain relevant to the communities we serve.”

Forecast 2027 is set for November 12 at the Harvard Club of New York City. Seating is limited to keep the room intimate, so secure a seat via the Forecast website. Forecast is closed to press, so these conversations will not be posted online or covered in Radio Ink headlines the next morning. You must be in the room to benefit.
