The 2026 midterms are on track for a record $11.6 billion in political spending, and a newly announced NAB Show New York panel wants to help broadcasters get their fill as part of “Big Media, Big Tech, Big Tools” day at the Javits Center in Manhattan.
Set for the conference’s first day, October 21, the session opens with what’s driving this cycle’s numbers before turning to the broader impact of recent FCC and US Supreme Court decisions, like National Republican Senatorial Committee v. FEC.
AdImpact General Manager of Data Solutions Don Norton and Senior Vice President of Data John Link will break down how that spending is pushing pricing pressure onto broadcast inventory, accelerating the shift to CTV, and making ACR technology essential for stations navigating the change.
Attendees can add the session to their schedule via the Show Floor listing on NAB Show New York’s website.
Earlier that day, the show will open with the presentation of Radio Ink‘s 34th Radio Wayne Awards, immediately followed by a Marconi Podcast finalists panel. Elsewhere on October 21, BofA Securities’ Jessica Reif Ehrlich headlines a separate session on media consolidation, and NABLF is running its career fair the same day.
