Radio’s biggest sales honors and its buzziest podcast creators will share the same stage, back-to-back, on the opening morning of NAB Show New York. The 34th Radio Wayne Awards will hand off directly to a special panel of 2026 Marconi Podcast finalists.
The Radio Wayne Awards start at 10:15a in the Javits Center’s Theater C on October 21, honoring sales leaders, managers and, in a new category for 2026, support staff such as Client Services Managers and Traffic Managers. Finalists were revealed last week. For the second year, the ceremony is presented at the show in partnership with the NAB.
Immediately after, the same stage turns to “Award-Winning Audio: Inside the 2026 NAB Marconi Podcast Finalists.” The panel will bring together creators celebrated the night before that are behind some of this year’s top-rated shows, including Hubbard Broadcasting’s Purple Daily and Cumulus Media’s The Install with Greg Cosell.
The teams will discuss how they built their audiences and brands in a crowded podcast market.
BofA Securities Managing Director and Senior Media and Entertainment Analyst Jessica Reif Ehrlich will lead “The Future of Media: Consolidation or Spin-Off?” from 2:30p to 3:15p ET on the show floor, examining where industry consolidation is headed and which business models face the most pressure. Ehrlich, who has covered media and entertainment for BofA since 1994, previously held the same role at Oppenheimer & Co.
Passes for NAB Show New York, running October 21 and 22 at the Javits Center, are available now.
