The third time may be the charm for mornings on Audacy Houston’s 100.3 The Bull (KILT). Lois “Double L” Lewis and Matt Wood debut The Morning Bull with Matt & Lois on September 17.
Lewis brings more than two decades of Country radio experience to the role. She began her career at KNIX in Phoenix before moving to KIIM in Tucson. Lewis then spent several years at Big Machine Label Group/Republic Nashville, helping guide acts including Florida Georgia Line and The Band Perry. She returned to radio in 2016 at 95.5 The Bull in Las Vegas and later back at KNIX in Phoenix, where she most recently held middays.
Wood’s broadcast career began at WQXI in Atlanta, where he covered major sports franchises, before he served as Sports Director at KNSI in Minnesota and co-hosted the syndicated Kelly & Wood on KZPK. In March 2024, Wood launched the nationally syndicated Taste of Country Mornings alongside Nicole Taylor for Townsquare Media. Townsquare ended the show in late 2025.
The duo takes over a morning slot that has seen some turnover over the past year and a half. The Morning Bullpen with George, Mo and Erik ended in December 2024 after nearly a decade on KILT, and the show that replaced it lasted just 15 months before Audacy layoffs claimed Tucker Young and Katy Dempsey in April.
KILT Brand Manager Bruce Logan said, “[Wood and Lewis] have had very impressive careers and have set themselves apart from their contemporaries, and when we put them together, the chemistry was almost instantaneous. We wanted to build Houston’s best morning show, a show that cares about the community and wakes up every morning wanting to make Bull Nation Laugh.”
Lewis added, “They say everything’s bigger in Texas, and my first conversation with Matt Wood proved it! Our very first FaceTime lasted two hours and 14 minutes, with big energy and morning-show chemistry right outta the chute. I’ve admired Hall of Famers Bruce Logan and Chris Huff for years, and it didn’t take long to understand why Sarah Frazier is the Ultimate Boss Lady. I’m so grateful they’ve invited me to join this team.”
Wood commented, “I could not be more excited to be joining The Bull in Houston. Getting the chance to work with this team is a dream come true.”
