College Broadcasters, Inc. has announced the finalists for its 2026 National Student Production Awards, honoring student work from more than 940 submissions, with winners to be named next month at the National Student Media Convention in Philadelphia.
The National Student Production Awards honor the outstanding work of students at campus radio, television and digital media outlets across 41 categories, including promos, news reporting, best DJ, comedy, entertainment, sports, podcasts, documentaries, outlet of the year, and more for video and audio, as well as general categories in station imaging, website design, and social media presence.
Up to four finalists were chosen in each category from more than 940 submissions nationwide. The full list is available on the CBI site.
The awards will be presented as part of the National Student Media Convention, running October 14-17 at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. Radio Ink previously reported that CBI merged its convention with the Broadcast Education Association’s fall conference into a single joint event beginning in 2025.
CBI President Anabella Poland said, “We’re excited to return to Philadelphia for the first time since 2016 to celebrate the outstanding work happening on campuses nationwide. The National Student Production Awards are always the highlight of our convention, and after a decade away, the City of Brotherly Love is the perfect backdrop for honoring this next generation of storytellers.”
