Audacy is adding one of the fastest-growing progressive news operations to its podcast lineup, forming a strategic partnership with the MeidasTouch Network as the exclusive audio sales and distribution partner, with eyes on expansion to traditional radio.
MeidasTouch began in March 2020 as a political action committee formed by Long Island brothers Ben, Brett and Jordan Meiselas to oppose Donald Trump’s reelection campaign. The group has since evolved from a video-ad operation into a full media network built around its flagship MeidasTouch Podcast, and more than a dozen additional shows.
Momentum accelerated further this year. In March, former CBS News correspondent Scott MacFarlane left CBS to become MeidasTouch’s chief Washington correspondent, and in April, the network closed its first outside funding round, led by Soros Fund Management, to pursue acquisitions and expand its newsroom, setting up the Audacy partnership announced this week.
Soros Fund Management, which became Audacy’s largest shareholder following its exit from bankruptcy in 2025, led the network’s first investment round in April as part of the network’s push into acquisitions and new hires.
Audacy Head of Podcasts Leah Reis-Dennis said, “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the MeidasTouch Network to Audacy – this partnership underscores the momentum behind our podcast business and further accelerates our growth. What Ben, Brett, and Jordan have built is nothing short of a phenomenon – a powerhouse in independent media with unmatched scale and audience engagement. Audacy’s best-in-class sales team, paired with the MeidasTouch Network’s unmatched scale and audience engagement, will unlock powerful opportunities for our advertising partners.”
MeidasTouch Network Co-Founder Ben Meiselas said, “Our mission has always been to build the strongest independent news network in the country. Our partnership with Audacy significantly expands our podcast capabilities while strengthening our advertising operation as we continue growing the MeidasTouch Network. This is another important step in our long-term strategy to invest in independent media, expand our programming, and reach even more people across every major platform.”
