We find ourselves at another summer’s end, and from the studio to the C-Suite, being informed isn’t a luxury in a fall like the one ahead. Shortening days are giving way to a season that will test radio in profound ways.
You need an eye on the FCC. You need the research that actually moves a sales number. You need to know everything on the legislation that will insulate radio’s future for years to come. You need to track who’s buying, who’s filing, and who’s walking away. You need a straight answer on what AI actually means for your building.
We know that’s a lot to keep up with. That’s what we’re here for, every day: Measured, respectful coverage that remains fact-forward and easy to understand. It’s why we keep the most-respected bench of columnists in the business writing for you.
Now is not the time for thoughtless hype or needless panic, but for honesty and togetherness.
And we’re building our Q4 calendar around exactly that. The Radio Wayne Awards open NAB Show New York on October 21 at the Javits Center for the second year running, with a new Support Staff category recognizing the people who keep buildings moving behind the scenes. And on November 12, Forecast returns to the Harvard Club of New York City, bringing broadcasting’s top decision-makers into one room to find answers together.
All of this is to say: thank goodness for a rest day.
There will be no daily headlines email on Monday, September 7. We’re taking Labor Day the way it’s meant to be taken, and we hope you do, too. We’ll be back Tuesday, September 8, watching every side of the industry like you have come to expect.
From all of us at Radio Ink, have a safe and relaxing holiday weekend.
