iHeartMedia has elevated Ann Marie Licata to lead its largest operating segment. Licata has been named CEO of iHeart’s Multiplatform Group, which encompasses the company’s 860-plus local broadcast radio stations, Premiere Networks, TTWN, live events, and data targeting products.

She replaced Hartley Adkins as Markets Group President following his retirement last year. Before that, Licata served as EVP of Sales Operations and Client Success for iHeart after a stint at Madison Square Garden.

In her stead, Bernie Weiss, formerly Markets Group Chief Operating Officer, has been promoted to Markets Group President, where he will oversee operations across the company’s 160 markets. Julie Donohue, President of the Enterprise Development Group, and Julie Talbott, President of Premiere Networks, will now report directly to Licata.

The Digital Audio Group continues under CEO Conal Byrne, and the Audio and Media Services Group remains led by CEO Mark Gray.

iHeartMedia Chairman and CEO Bob Pittman said, “We couldn’t be more pleased that Ann Marie will be leading the growth and innovation efforts for our company’s largest segment. In addition to helping businesses and brands grow effectively and efficiently, the Multiplatform Group has been an important engine to develop our own important new businesses — including podcasting and the iHeartRadio digital service — as well as our live music events and awards shows. We look forward to the additional growth that will come as we move broadcast radio into the digital buying world through our data services and programmatic platforms.”

iHeartMedia President and COO Rich Bressler added, “We have a diversified business at iHeart, with our Multiplatform Group, the Digital Audio Group and the Audio and Media Services Group, and we’re very pleased that Ann Marie has taken on the responsibility for the Multiplatform Group at such an important time for the company.”
