Nominations Open for Texas Radio Hall of Fame’s 2025 Inductees

The Texas Radio Hall of Fame will open its 2025 nominations process at 1p ET. The annual selection recognizes individuals who have made lasting contributions to radio in the state, and participation is open to both industry professionals and the public.

In the first phase of the process, nominations can be submitted through June 30 by voting members in good standing via the TRHOF website.

Nominations are later reviewed by a TRHOF Review Committee, which evaluates submissions and selects up to 50 candidates to move on to the final ballot. Voting members then determine the 20 individuals who will be inducted during the organization’s annual Induction Ceremony and Radio Reunion Weekend, scheduled for November 1 at the Texas Broadcast Museum in Kilgore.

Texas Radio Hall of Fame Executive Director and 2011 inductee Doug Harris said, “Some years ago, the TRHOF’s Executive Board took steps to ensure that the listening audience, as well as the broadcast professionals involved with the creation and delivery of quality radio, could have a say in this selection process. This voting season, we are implementing a discounted rate for ‘new’ voting members, who may join at the reduced fee for their first year.”

The TRHOF Class of 2024 honorees included Jud Ashmore, Jay Britt, Raoul Cortez, Frank “Big Frank” Edwards, Paul L. Gleiser, John Granato and Lance Zierlein, Henry Guerra, Mat “The Mighty Quinn” Guinn, Dene Hallam, Jay Jones, Mary Lanoue, Melanie Miller, Charlie Parker, John Roberts, Clifton “King Bee” Smith, Gary Stone, Terri Thomas, Harvey “Harvey T” Thompson, Jerry Trupiano, and Val Wilson.
