Two years after stepping away from the media industry, Donna Hall is coming out of retirement. The 35-year Cox Media Group alum has been named the leader of executive coaching firm Robertson Lowstuter, recently acquired by The Center for Sales Strategy.

Hall’s journey began in 1986 with a role in advertising sales at Times Publications in Dayton. By 1987, she joined Cox as a Retail Advertising Account Executive for The Dayton Daily News. Cox recognized Hall’s talent, advancing her through various positions including a stint as a Local Advertising Account Executive for WHIO.

She continued her upward climb within Cox Radio Dayton, culminating in her role as Vice President and General Manager from 1997 to 2009. Hall then took on the role of Senior Vice President of Marketing and Audience for Cox Media Group Ohio from 2010 to 2012, followed by Group Vice President of Sales at Cox Media in Atlanta until 2014. After taking the Atlanta market manager role, she was then promoted to publisher of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

She retired in 2022.

Hall shared, “Helping others grow and develop was, by far, my favorite thing about being a leader in each of the positions I held. My hope and goal is to have a similar, profound impact on others that my coaches have had on me in my career.”

CSS CEO Matt Sunshine said, “We are thrilled to have Donna join our team. Her extensive experience and passion for developing leaders make her a valuable asset to our organization and our clients.”

R|L Senior Consultant Carolyn Lowstuter stated, “Donna Hall makes the perfect bridge between our two firms. With her 30-year history as a client of CSS with Matt Sunshine as her lead sales consultant along with her executive coaching certification and expertise, she can embrace both worlds of CSS and R|L. You will find her to be smart, resourceful, warm and engaging, and committed to doing the right thing for the right reasons for clients…always. We are so pleased to welcome her.”
