Community Broadcasters of Florence recently concluded its annual Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon with 99.3 The Cat (WKKT), Live 95.3 (WFRK), Almighty 105.1 (WPDT), and 93.7 Frank FM (WSIM) breaking previous donation records and directly benefiting South Carolina’s McLeod Children’s Hospital.
The fundraiser, which took place from October 17-20, amassed a record-setting $144,698, surpassing last year’s total of $120,054. Community Broadcasters owns and operates 23 radio stations in South Carolina and 8 stations in New York.
Community Broadcasters Vice President Wayne Mulling commented, “It was all hands-on deck raising money for this great endeavor and organization. And once again, for two years in a row, we were able to break all records for the past 21 years of Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina, by raising over $144, 698 in this one ‘Miracle Week’ for McLeod Children’s Hospital.”
Children’s Miracle Network Program Director Davis Sawyer also expressed, “I am so excited about our record-breaking total for this year’s Radiothon. The hard work and dedication from all involved truly made a significant difference. The partnership and friendship we have with Community Broadcasters is priceless and we look forward to continuing our work together to make a difference in the lives of children treated at McLeod Children’s Hospital.”
