Patrick Communications Splits Amid Co-Owner Legal Troubles

Media industry brokers Larry Patrick and Greg Guy have announced the formation of two distinct media brokerage firms. This marks the end of Patrick Communications, the Wyoming-based brokerage firm co-owned by Larry and Susan Patrick, of which Guy was Managing Partner. These new firms will operate both independently and collaboratively on specific projects.

The restructuring follows a legal setback for Susan, who recently pleaded guilty to filing fraudulent tax returns and is facing potential penalties, including a three-year prison term. The charges were levied by the Justice Department and the case is under investigation by the IRS-Criminal Division.

Larry Patrick has launched Patrick Media Brokerage LLC. With a Ph.D. in communications and management and a J.D. degree, he has overseen media transactions worth over $8.5 billion. Patrick has also served as a Receiver or bankruptcy Trustee in more than 40 media cases and appeared as an expert witness in 36 federal and state court cases. He will operate out of Cody, WY.

Greg Guy has founded Tideline Partners LLC, focusing on strategic media brokerage and consulting services primarily for radio and television companies. With over 25 years of industry experience, Guy has a history of helping clients optimize the value of their assets. Tideline offers services that range from station and tower brokerage to appraisals and strategic consulting. The new firm is located at 32 Office Park Rd in Hilton Head Island, SC.
