Australia-based Ramp Media has unveiled the International Student Broadcasting Championship, a new global competition aimed at connecting student broadcasters with industry professionals and job opportunities. ISBC is not limited to radio broadcasting but also includes video, digital content creation, and e-sports casting.

Participants can apply through the ISBC website, which offers category listings and industry tips. The competition opened on World College Radio Day and will close for submissions on November 1st, aligning with academic calendars globally. Award winners will be announced in a live-streamed event on November 30th.

Judges for the ISBC competition are current professionals in broadcasting, podcasting, and the digital sphere.

Ramp Media Founder Phillip Vinciullo said, “Our primary focus is helping graduates find jobs and opportunities on an international scale. We keep hearing from media groups and clients that there are holes in the entry-level job market. We believe ISBC can provide development, opportunities, and solutions for both graduates and industry.”

ISBC Co-Founder Annwen Burrows commented, “Our focus has always been talent development and the student journey. The most important part of that experience is the transition to the workforce – ISBC’s goal is to support students and graduates through those pivotal times.”
