Happiful, a UK-based mental health and wellbeing platform, has rolled out a new podcast called Finding What Works. Hosted by content creator Kat Nicholls, the solution-focused podcast aims to explore various aspects of mental, emotional, and physical health by interviewing experts and individuals with firsthand experience.

The first season will consist of 10 weekly episodes with each topic covered in two episodes: one for discussion and another focusing on practical advice. This approach aims to offer listeners time to reflect and implement the insights gained from the episodes.

Nicholls, who has personal experience in dealing with mental health issues, including an eating disorder and anxiety, emphasized the importance of acknowledging the complexity and individuality of mental health journeys. She aims to provide a nuanced understanding of wellness by talking to both professionals and those who have lived the experiences.

“I’m particularly excited about the way this podcast encourages us to consume content more mindfully. With each theme spanning two episodes – one conversational and one practical – we’re giving listeners more space to reflect on what they learn and the time to put those learnings into practice,” said Nicholls. “By delving into this nuance, recognising the societal barriers we face, and speaking to both professionals and those with lived experience, I hope we can help listeners understand that they’re not alone in what they’re going through and that they can find what works for them.”
