Audacy’s ‘The PBP’ Goes Beyond Baseball’s Booth

Audacy has introduced a new weekly podcast called The PBP: Voices of Baseball, which focuses on the art of baseball play-by-play. Matt Spiegel of Chicago’s 670 The Score (WSCR-AM) engages with seasoned broadcasters to learn from their experiences and share insights with listeners.

The inaugural episode features former MLB play-by-play caller Joe Buck, who holds the profession’s record for the most appearances on network television. His appearance sets the stage for future episodes that delve into the world of baseball play-by-play and the broadcasters behind the microphone.

Audacy’s 2400Sports VP and Executive Producer Lena Moss Glaser said, “The art and skill of baseball play-by-play is how many fans experience the storytelling of sports for the first time. These are the voices fans grow up with, share with their families and their communities, and feel like they know them personally. When we think of the history of our favorite teams, we remember the moments that have defined the game’s history.”
