Media Monitors: Could Summer Hold Higher Ad Spend?

0

With Memorial Day Weekend days away, total spot play is on the rise in the latest Media Monitors report. For the week of May 15-21, the total spot play of the top five national advertisers on radio was up to 233,476 – the first positive trend in more than a month.

Progressive continues its reign atop the board for the fourth week in a row, with a total of 55,281 spots. The Home Depot made a significant jump to get on the board at the second position with 51,956 spots. Upside, which has been steadily increasing ad spend after an abrupt fall-off, followed in third place with 43,424 ads. ZipRecruiter slipped to the fourth spot with 43,378 spots, and Babbel rounded out the top five with 39,437 total commercials.

The increase in spot play may be attributed to various factors, including renewed advertising campaigns, strategic marketing decisions, and the evolving demands of the market.
