Hollywood and film industry news site Deadline has introduced Strike Talk, a series covering the Writers Guild of America’s strike against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. Hosts Billy Ray and Todd Garner discuss various topics such as the impact of AI, writer compensation, and misconceptions about strikes.
Ray was the WGA’s co-chair on the negotiating committee in 2017, and Garner is a former Disney exec-turned-producer who runs Broken Road Productions. The podcast will continue to run weekly until the labor stalemate is resolved, with new guests added each week.
