Air1 Gets A New Morning Show

Dan and Michelle are the new morning team at EMF’s Air1. The duo joins Air1 from Bonneville’s KYMX (Mix 96.1) in Sacramento, California, where they’ve hosted mornings for the past six years. They begin in early November. They replace the team of Eric and Heather.

“We are thrilled to have Dan and Michelle join our team!” said Randy Chase, VP of Radio at Air1. “Their positive energy and past success of connecting with audiences in a positive and authentic way is exactly what Air1 need to go to the next level.”

Dan got into radio at a young age in his home of Medford, Oregon, and has worked in Las Vegas, Madison, WI (where he met Michelle), Omaha, NE, and Sacramento. After 9/11, he enlisted in the Army Reserve and served a combined four years between the reserves and Army National Guard. Dan says he’s been a fan of Air1 since he was a kid and to have the opportunity to be on the air with the ministry is a dream come true. “We’ve had the opportunity to hang out with the leadership over the last couple weeks and we simply love their hearts and their passion for radio and, of course, the ministry.”

Michelle began her career working in television as a meteorologist, reporter, and anchor. But, shortly after marrying Dan in 2009, she got bitten by the radio bug after they filled in together on a morning show in Madison. They’ve been doing radio together ever since. She says this is truly a dream come true. “I love Air1 and its mission and am proud to be joining the EMF family. A big thank you to Randy Chase and the leadership team for believing in us and for this incredible opportunity. We can’t wait to get started!”

  1. Looking to respond to a question on the air. Found it! Better late than never. Maybe next time. I enjoy your show on I ❤ Radio!

  2. I saw this on Facebook from my friends the Utley’s. Bruce is a minister and his wife, Sharon, a teacher. This is what Sharon wrote:
Dan and Michelle, I listen to your show every day, and I enjoy and appreciate it so much. However, this morning you talked about the “smell” of older people’s homes, and that was hurtful. I am 67, and a Christian Nana of five grandchildren. It is diminishing to make your faithful brothers and sisters think that their homes have a “musky” odor, even if it does. The only smell my grandmothers’ homes had was that of love, and I pray that Christian love is how my home smells. Once again, I thank God for you, but ask you to think how scientific evidence like what you shared today might affect your listeners, both old and young. It does not build the body up.
