According to The New York Times, Russian intelligence officers searched the office of Russia’s most prominent independent radio station. Computer servers were also searched. They were looking for e-mails from Andrei Piontkovsky (pictured), who writes a blog for the station.

According to The Times, The FSB’s press office did not name Piontkovsky but said it was investigating calls to violate the country’s territorial integrity, which is a crime in Russia. The government started looking into a blog post discussing the future of the southern republic of Chechnya.
