WAY-FM Makes Hope Happen For 2,700 Kids

WAY-FM along with the Compassion Radio Team and ShareMedia Services announced a record-breaking event with 2,700 children sponsored from last week’s “Hope Happens” campaign on WAY-FM. This marks the biggest response by WAY-FM listeners ever with thousands of longest waiting kids in West Africa sponsored.

WAY-FM’s Faron Dice adds, “We are so delighted with the long standing partnership that we have with Compassion. It’s so much more than a week-long campaign. Our announcers are sponsors themselves, and they make the trek to visit the areas and see the work of Compassion before they ask our listeners to sponsor a child. And this model truly works. We are now approaching 20,000 sponsorships that WAY-FM has found for Compassion.”

Lee Geysbeek, Compassion International Radio Marketing Director comments, “The WAY-FM team did an amazing job. I’m learning that when a listener is given an easy opportunity to do what Jesus has called us to do they grow in their faith and become more loyal to the station who brought them there. We saw that happen first hand. The impact of this historic event will be played out in each child, family, and the community these churches serve in for years to come.”
