In February, the Broadcasters Foundation of America announced that CBS Radio CEO Scott Herman was a recipient of a 2016 Ward L. Quaal Leadership Award. Herman received his award during the NAB Show in Las Vegas this week. Rick Daniels has taken up duties as on-air Host of Afternoon Drive at NASH FM 97.9 in Boise, ID. Daniels’ new show airs weekdays from 2-7 p.m. and debuted Tuesday, April 20.

Elton Spitzer owned the Long Island station back in the 1970's and according to Newsday, when the album rock format had grown stale and faced more competition back in 1982, he flipped it to a British New Wave format stating, "This sounds like more fun.

AE's Kelwynn Napoleon and Rachel Adams are now LSMs for Cumulus in New Orleans where the company has four stations. Napoleon (pictured) joined Cumulus-New Orleans seven years ago as an AE. Adams joins Cumulus from Entercom-New Orleans, where she was the National Director of eCommerce and Digital Sales.

Tony Tilford is the new Director of Rock Programming for iHeartMedia's Kentucky-Indiana region. He'll begin his new duties May 1, which will include overseeing WQMF-FM and WTFX-FM in Louisville. Tilford most recently served as Regional SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Southwest Ohio-Indiana region.

Tanner Kloven is the new midday host on CBS Radio's KVIL in Dallas. Kloven replaces Sybil Summers, who began co-hosting 103.7 KVIL’s More Music Mornings with Kannon on April 1.

Steve Weed has been named Senior VP of Programming for Central California. Weed has been with iHeart since 2010 and will continue as Senior VP of the Fresno market. His experience includes past programming roles in New York City, Detroit, Seattle, and St. Louis. iHeartMedia Central California includes Fresno, Bakersfield, Modesto/Stockton, and Monterey.

Cumulus-owned KNBR in San Francisco has re-signed morning radio personalities Brian Murphy and Paul McCaffrey, co-hosts of The Murph and Mac Show on KNBR 680 San Francisco. The show will celebrate its 10th anniversary together on KNBR this year.

Todd Cavanah has been promoted to the newly created position of Vice President of Programming for CBS Radio Chicago. Cavanah most recently worked at WBBM-FM, where he began as an on-air personality in 1990, before being promoted to PD in 1993. Since 2011, he has also held a dual position as PD of WJMK-FM.
