The Texas Association of Broadcasters will honor five broadcast leaders at TAB’s Annual Awards Gala. The gala, part of the association’s 63rd Annual Convention & Trade Show, will take place Thursday, August 11, from 7-10 p.m. at the Renaissance Austin Hotel in Austin Texas.

Star 94.1 FM (KMYI), San Diego, Best Variety, announced Monday that Shelley Wade has been named its new afternoon host, broadcasting weekdays from 2 to 4 p.m., and providing entertainment features and updates from 4 to 8 p.m., beginning May 31, 2016.

Best known for her roles in films like Basic Instinct and Casino, Stone also has an impressive track record in raising awareness and support for AIDS research, prevention, and treatment.

iHeartMedia Tampa Bay announced that Brian “Munchie” Donovan has been named Director of Digital, effective July 1, 2016. As Director of Digital for the Tampa region, Donovan will work closely with the programming staff and talent for the region’s 10 brands to deliver a seamless experience for listeners

Davis joins NASH FM 103.3 in Nashville from Country-formatted WQDR-FM in Raleigh, NC. Prior to that, she hosted mornings on Country station WGNA-FM in Albany, NY, and middays for Country 106.5 WYRK in Buffalo, NY. Davis is a graduate of North Carolina State University.

Entercom has promoted John O'Connell to PD at WMXJ 102.7 The Beach. O'Connell is already the PD for WSFS 104.3 The Shark and will continue in that position as well. Market Manager Doug Abernethy said, "Under John's guidance we have seen significant growth on 102.7 The Beach. John has the recipe for programming success in managing on-air talent, imaging, and music."

Chad Elliot has been named Market Manager for Zimmer Radio Group in Joplin, MO, replacing Larry Boyd who left the company. For the past nine years, Elliot has been the Operations Manager for the cluster and host of the KZRG Morning Newswatch, which he'll continue to host. He's been with the company for 20 years.

Entravision announced Thursday that Don Daboub has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Integrated Marketing Solutions, Mountain Region, effective immediately. Daboub previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Integrated Marketing Solutions, Colorado at Entravision.

Ross Mahoney will take over programming duties for Cat Thomas, who left a few months ago, as well as pick up the afternoon drive shift at KXTE.

CRS Radio Holdings owns "The Point" (WHGM) in Havre de Grace, MD. The station's new morning show will be called Mallow in the Morning, featuring Justin Mallow. Mallow joins The Point from WKBE 107.1 FM The Point in Glens Falls, New York, located about 15 minutes from the Saratoga Race Track, where he has been for the past six years.
