Scott Hamilton To Keynote At CRS

Olympic Gold Medalist, TV broadcaster, best-selling author, humanitarian, and cancer survivor Scott Hamilton, will be the Country Radio Seminar's keynote speaker. CRS President Charlie Morgan will interview Hamilton Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 4–5:00 p.m. Hamilton won a gold medal in figure skating in 1984 in Saravejo.

Joyner Announces Replacement Comedians

When comedian J. Anthony Brown left The Tom Joyner Morning Show at the end of last month, Joyner announced there would be rotating co-hosts to fill Brown's chair until a permanent replacement was hired. Joyner says starting in 2017 Arsenio Hall, Bill Bellamy, Kym Whitley, and returning co-host Sherri Shepherd and Lavell Crawford will be featured co-hosts.

KRRO-FM has hired Denzil Bursey as its new PM driver and APD. Bursey joins Midwest Communications from iHeartradio in Detroit. He's also worked in the Atlanta market. Bursey said, "I'm glad to have found a new home in Sioux Falls and start a new chapter in my broadcasting career. I'm excited to get started, even though it's cold as hell and the wind doesn't seem to stop blowing."
