Olympic Gold Medalist, TV broadcaster, best-selling author, humanitarian, and cancer survivor Scott Hamilton, will be the Country Radio Seminar's keynote speaker. CRS President Charlie Morgan will interview Hamilton Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 4–5:00 p.m. Hamilton won a gold medal in figure skating in 1984 in Saravejo.

Alan Mason has been officially appointed President of K-LOVE & Air1. He's been acting in the President’s role for some time, according to CEO Mike Novak.

Walker Vreeland has been on the air with the Long Island Radio Broadcasting station for over 10 years. Vreeland will be leaving WBAZ-FM to relocate to New York City where he'll produce his autobiographical monologue From Ship to Shape, continue his voiceover work, and podcast.

When comedian J. Anthony Brown left The Tom Joyner Morning Show at the end of last month, Joyner announced there would be rotating co-hosts to fill Brown's chair until a permanent replacement was hired. Joyner says starting in 2017 Arsenio Hall, Bill Bellamy, Kym Whitley, and returning co-host Sherri Shepherd and Lavell Crawford will be featured co-hosts.

The Premiere-syndicated show continues to grow, adding iHeart's My 99.5 in Salt Lake City. iHeartMedia Salt Lake City Senior VP of Programming Jeff Cochran, said, “We’ve been watching the undeniable growth of this show for almost a year. Brooke and Jubal’s connection to young adults and their laugh-out-loud content make this show a perfect match for KJMY.”

Bryan McGarvey of Neuhoff Media Lafayette has received a grant from the US State Department to assist in establishing Africa’s first 24-hour agricultural-focused radio station.

Kampmeier (pictured) will retire on December 31 and Rick Everett will take over his position. Kampmeier has over 45 years of experience in the radio industry and most recently served as the Region VP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s North Florida Region.

Paul Richards of KRDO Newsradio was found dead at his Colorado Springs home Sunday. Richards, whose real name is Paul Mundt, was 55.

KRRO-FM has hired Denzil Bursey as its new PM driver and APD. Bursey joins Midwest Communications from iHeartradio in Detroit. He's also worked in the Atlanta market. Bursey said, "I'm glad to have found a new home in Sioux Falls and start a new chapter in my broadcasting career. I'm excited to get started, even though it's cold as hell and the wind doesn't seem to stop blowing."
