Entercom's sports radio WEEI in Boston has hired Alex Reimer, calling him a "brand personality." Reimer will create columns, blogs, and podcasts, and be a rotating co-host on the Kirk and Callahan morning show. The Boston University graduate has written for several major outlets including Forbes, The Boston Herald and SB Nation.

Atlanta Classic Rock station Rock 100.5 WNNX has signed the Bailey and Southside morning show for three more years. Jason Bailey and Southside Steve Rickman became on-air partners two years ago when their morning show launched on Rock 100.5 WNNX.

Randy Savage is the new Operations Manager for Cumulus' five-station cluster in Wilkes Barre/Scranton. Savage was also appointed as PD and PM Drive Host of NASH FM 93.7/WSJR-FM. The 29-year vet joins Cumulus after 20 years with Renda Broadcasting in Fort Myers/Naples.

Eighteen-year News Talk 590/WVLK-AM on-air personality Dave "Kruser" Krusenklaus is rewarded with a promotion to Program Director at the station. He'll also move from midday host to afternoon drive.

Known as the co-host of the top-rated Fred + Angi morning show on 103.5 KISS FM in Chicago, Taylor will keep that gig while joining Simon Marcel to co-host The Rendezvous, the nightly love and relationship advice program. Taylor, who gained success at a tender age, co-hosted mornings on Q102 Philly from 2002-2008, before joining KISS-FM in Chicago to co-host the morning show, and later, Brotha Fred’s Neighborhood in 2011.

Donna Harrison becomes the company’s newest representative in its Affiliate Relations department. Harrison will specialize in the affiliate marketing efforts that assist stations in utilizing USRN’s services and offerings for the News and Talk formats. She has over 20 years as a marketing exec in the radio network industry.

Steven Swartz, president and CEO of Hearst, will take part in an executive Q&A during the 2017 NAB Show Opening, Monday, April 24, in Las Vegas. The interview will take place following NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith's "State of the Broadcast Industry" address. Swartz became president and CEO of Hearst in 2013.

Conservative talker Monica Crowley was to be part of President-elect Donald Trump's national security communications team. That all ended Monday when Crowley said she would not serve after she was accused of plagiarism by CNN and Politico. Crowley issued the following statement...

Kevin Ratliff, also known as “Bootleg Kev,” has been named the new night host on CBS Radio Phoenix’s LIVE 101.5. Ratliff’s previous experience includes holding on-air positions at KKFR in Phoenix, KVEG in Las Vegas and WLLD in Tampa.
