Longtime WBAL Baltimore talk show host Allan Prell has passed away at the age of 79. Prell, a two-time Edward R. Murrow award winner, had undergone surgery several months ago. He worked at WBAL from 1982 to the early 2000s.

Cox Media Group in Atlanta has hired Michael Baisden as afternoon drive host on KISS 104.1 FM. He starts January 16. SupeRadio is syndicating the program starting in January. KISS in Atlanta will be the flagship station. An earlier version of this story incorretly stated that Cox would be syndicating the show.

Kurtis Becomes Voice Of WGN Radio

WGN Radio has signed Chicago's own Bill Kurtis as the station’s signature voice. Starting in January, Kurtis’ voice will be integrated into the station’s audio branding and heard on WGN’s promos and IDs.

CRS President Charlie Morgan will interview Hamilton Wednesday, Feb. 22, from 4–5:00 p.m. Hamilton won a gold medal in figure skating in 1984 in Saravejo.

Anthony Brown left The Tom Joyner Morning Show at the end of last month, Joyner announced there would be rotating co-hosts to fill Brown's chair until a permanent replacement was hired. Joyner says starting in 2017 Arsenio Hall, Bill Bellamy, Kym Whitley, and returning co-host Sherri Shepherd and Lavell Crawford will be featured co-hosts.
