Trio To Receive NAB Technology Awards

Rockies Announcers Staying With KOA Denver
iHeartMedia’s KOA NewsRadio has signed multi-year contract renewals with Jack Corrigan and Jerry Schemmel that will keep them as the radio play-by-play voices of the Colorado Rockies. KOA has a deal for Rockies broadcasts through the 2021 season and has served as the Rockies’ flagship since the club’s inception in 1993.
Crowley Gets The Nod For KGON PD Job
Entercom Portland has enlisted Chris Crowley to be the new PD at “Portland’s Classic Rock Station,” 92.3 KGON. After graduating from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, Crowley spent 26 years in various radio companies, including programming and working with Jacobs Media rock consultancy.
Former Triton Exec Joins Workhouse Media
Mike Agovino and Workhouse CEO Paul Anderson are launching a new marketing company called Workhouse Connect. Agovino will serve as President and CEO. Agovino co-founded Triton Digital in 2006 and was Triton’s COO until 2015.
Lazer Broadcasting Gets A New COO
Joshua Mednick has been named the Chief Operating Officer for Lazer Broadcasting. Before joining Lazer, Mednick was Executive VP for Casa Media Partners. Lazer owns and operates 29 radio stations in 13 markets in California and one in Nevada.

USRN has hired Neil Barry as Executive Director/Brand Sponsorships. Barry will handle the development of multi-platform advertising programs and branded content for the network’s marketing partners.
Willis Retires. Lakefield Steps Up.
Cumulus Media’s 103.9 WVBO in Appleton/Oshkosh is moving Chuck Lakefield (pictured) to mornings. Lakefield shifts to mornings from his midday slot on WVBO. He was also morning host on 1280 WNAM-AM in Appleton and has hosted morning shows in Duluth, Lansing, and Terre Haute.

Detroit’s News/Talk 760 WJR-AM will debut a new daily sports feature Monday: Eli Zaret’s After Further Review, will air weekdays at 4:36 p.m. on The Guy Gordon Show, which is broadcast from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. on 760 WJR-AM.
