Cox Media Group has named Jodi Rainey its new Director of National Sales for its Radio Division. Rainey will now oversee sales strategies for all 60 CMG stations. She'll retain her position as Regional National Sales Manager for Jacksonville and Tampa. Rainey’s career with CMG includes GSM at Tampa’s WSUN/97X and AE in both Tampa and Atlanta. She's been on Radio Ink's MIW list and was a Radio Ink Radio Wayne finalist in 2014 and 2015.

The company recently promoted both Tami Honesty (Dallas) and Marsha Landess (Richmond) to Station Managers of their markets. On Thursday, both were promoted again, now to VP/GM with full operating accountability for their markets.

Jay takes over programming duties of the country outlet as of Monday. He replaces Ed Hill who exited in April of 2015 and Carey Curelop. Curelop remains on as Vice President/Programming of CBS Seattle and Program Director of 102.5 KZOK-FM, 96.5 JACK-FM and 1090 KFNQ-AM.

In this newly created position, Jorge “Pepo” Ferradas will be responsible for the development of an integrated music strategy for all music-focused efforts across the company, including UCI’s music tentpole events and working with the company’s radio programming team.

Al Hart, a legendary voice in San Francisco, died Thursday morning. According to his family, Hart died following a long-term illness. Hart joined KCBS in 1966, two years before the all-news format arrived. During his 34 year career at KCBS, Hart delivered the news of the day, including major Bay Area stories such as the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake and the 1991 Oakland Hills fire. He retired in 2000. Energy 102.3, Peoria, announced that Scott Ehlke has moved from nights to middays on Energy 102.3. The move was made Monday, January 11, 2016 at 10 a.m. Ehlke, a Michigan native, has been in radio for five years.

A day after several changes were made by Beasley at its Eastern North Carolina stations, changes were made in Southwest Florida. After seven years as one of three co-hosts on B1039’s Big Mama and the Wild Bunch show, Adam Star is promoted to Operations Manager of the Fort Myers Cluster.

Benztown announces that it has signed two prominent character voiceover actors, Rachel Butera and Scott Whyte, to do promos and celebrity impersonations for their radio imaging and production library customers.

Joey Hudson is thew new GM for Salem's Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, SC, cluster (WGTK-FM; WRTH Earth FM). Hudson comes to the position after many years as an entrepreneur and business owner in Greenville.

Prior to this new appointment, Talton served as Senior VP, Global Diversity and Inclusion, and she will continue to oversee Nielsen's diversity and inclusion programs including supplier diversity, training and employee engagement. Talton has been with Nielsen since 2007.
