The pair will live in the parking lot of Xfinity Live! Philadelphia to solicit food donations from listeners and businesses in the greater Philadelphia area
Lisa Worden Gets VP’d And More In LA
The radio vet has been named Vice President of Programming for iHeart’s ALT 98.7, “LA’s New Alternative.” She was also named Alternative Rock Brand Manager for iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group. Worden was previously APD and MD for KROQ-FM in LA, first joining the station as its Music Director in 1995.
Carlin Move Causes Changes At WIP
As a result of Chris Carlin moving to New York to be part of the team replacing Mike Francesa, WIP in Philadelphia had to make some changes. Jon Marks will begin co-hosting afternoons alongside Ike Reese. Marks has been hosting evenings.
DeSisto Named PD At WJBR
Rich DeSisto starts in his new job in the Delaware Valley on November 14. The 30-year radio veteran has spent most of his career in the Tri-State area, most recently serving as the APD/afternoon drive personality at Beasley Philadelphia’s BEN-FM and as a weekend personality on WMGK-FM, where he will continue to work.
Phoenix’s 99.9 KEZ Brings Back Delilah
The iHeart station announced Tuesday the return of Delilah, effective November 14. The show will broadcast Sunday through Friday from 7 p.m.-midnight, and feature helpful advice about love and relationships, recipes, and inspirational discussion with listeners.
Those 2 Guys Add Another Station
2 Guys Named Chris, which originates from WKRR-FM/Greensboro, has added WXQR-FM/Rock 105.5 in the Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville market to its listening audience. The show, which airs weekdays 6-10 a.m. ET, has been heard on WKRR-FM Rock 92 since 2000.
It Takes Three People To Replace Francesa
It'll certainly be a different sound, afternoons on WFAN, if the reports out of New York City are true. Chris Carlin, Bart Scott, and Maggie Gray are reported to be the team replacing the number one sports talker in America when he leaves the station on December 15.
Beasley Philly Names Johnson Director Of Sports Content
Beasley Media has hired Eric Johnson as Director of Sports Content in Philadelphia. He spent the past 19 years serving as Brand Manager and PD at New Jersey's 101.5 FM. Prior to that, Johnson worked as the APD at WIP and was the PD at Y-100 in Philadelphia.
Jordan Becomes a Full-Time Rocker
Beasley Media has named Juline Jordan midday host at Classic Rocker WCSX-FM in Detroit. Jordan has spent over 20 years working in Detroit, most recently working as a weekend and fill-in on-air personality at WCSX-FM. Prior to that, she was heard on WRIF-FM.
Morgan Gets Mornings At WBBB 96.1 FM
Morgan Thomas will host mornings on the Raleigh, NC station beginning November 20. Thomas has a successful history in morning radio in the Triangle, including co-host of the Mike & Morgan show on WQDR 94.7 FM from 2001 until 2004.
